I'm Still Alive. Barely.

The hubster and I drove twenty-seven hours straight from Dallas to the Bay Area.  We are now "home."  Except I can't find my blow dryer, we've eaten lots of pizza and many a pack of ramen noodles, and I think I forgot my SpongeBob SquarePants pillow in Texas.  Oh, and I've been wearing the same pair of socks for three days straight.  But you didn't need to know that.  What you do need to know is that your very sweet emails making sure I'm okay and asking how I'm settling in have stopped me from pulling my hair out.  Who woulda thought I had friends living in my computer?  Oh, and if any of you want to send over a home cooked meal, well, let's just say I wouldn't say no.  In the event that doesn't happen, I hope to make some real food this weekend and be back with a new post.  Or maybe I'll just do a post on the deliciousness that is packaged ramen.  In any case, I'll be back soon!

And remember, the brownie giveaway ends tonight at 11:59pm Central Pacific time.

  7. I am so excited that you are in the Bay Area! My sister lives up there, near Walnut Creek. So I'm sure I'll be visiting you soon. And if I were a tiny bit closer I'd be happy to bring over that home cooked meal. Whether or not you'd want to eat it...that's another story!

glad to hear you and the hubster made it there safely. i've never driven 27 hours straight before. probably 14 hours straight to Vancouver is the max and that already was a killer for me (i know, i'm a wimp) so kudos to you and your hubster. you definitely have lots of boxes there. hope you're settling in ok.

  35. Exxcccellent... I'm so glad you have joined us, Azmina. But careful, don't drown in boxes! Good luck with unpacking and if in case it's helpful, I find that taking the occasional break to build a fort out of the boxes can be quite entertaining. :) See you in a few weeks!
