Brownie Giveaway!

The giveaway is closed and we have a winner! Heather of Pretty Peas, the hubster picked your comment because he said he could relate (I didn't ask him why he had a wedding dress).  I hope you enjoy your brownies and chocolate-scented bath!

We interrupt our regularly scheduled programming to inform you that voting for Round 3 of Project Food Blog is in full swing.  You can read and vote for my entry here.

I love brownies.  No, I really love brownies.  When I'm particularly stressed, I think about brownies and I feel a smile coming on.  The only thing that would truly perfect my love of brownies would be the ability to make 'em in a single-serving size.  See, sometimes after dinner, I would really like a brownie.  Really, really like a brownie.  I can't very well bake a whole pan because, well I would very well eat the whole pan.  So a single-serving brownie would be ideal.  I've tried everything possible to make this happen from buying a box of brownie mix and scaling down the ingredients and baking a single-serving in a rammekin to baking a whole pan, serving myself one portion and then having the hubster hide the remaining brownies.  No luck.  I have the nose of a bloodhound when it comes to sniffing out brownies.

So when Pillsbury asked me if I'd consider trying their new Sweet Moments single-serve brownies, I thought it was a gift from God.  Either that, or the Pillsbury folks were monitoring my every move which would mean they'd seen my seen my Macarena dance that I do while cooking.  Yup, 'cause I'm old school like that.  In either case, I immediately agreed.  The brownies come in two varieties- bite-sized brownies, layered with caramel or fudge and covered with chocolate or molten lava brownies with caramel or fudge.  Each bite-sized brownie is only 60 calories per serving.  Which means I can eat at least six without feeling the first pang of guilt.  Oh, and the molten lava brownie?  Top it with ice cream and you have heaven in a bowl.  Both are the perfect end to a stressful day.

Oh, and if the brownies weren't enough, I also received two uber-cute boxes filled with bath treats.  Chocolate-scented bath treats.  There was a chocolate lotion, chocolate bath salts, chocolate scrub.  And of course, I seriously contemplated eating a chocolate brownie while taking a chocolate bath.  Like you even needed to ask.

Wanna try Pillsbury's fabulous new Sweet Moments brownies?  While taking a chocolate-scented bath?  You can win the same prize pack I received, which includes one coupon for a Sweet Moments brownie and a lovely collection of chocolate-scented bath products.  All you need to do is leave a comment by Thursday October 14th at 11:59pm Central Time about why you desperately need a brownie this week.  I'll need some way to contact the winner, so your email address needs to either be visible on your Blogger profile, your blog, or in your comment.  I'll turn your comments over to the hubster and he'll pick his favorite on Friday October 15th.

Brownies and prize packs were provided by Pillsbury through MyBlogSpark.

  1. Oooh.. Oooh... Pick me!
I desperately need a brownie this week because it's been cold and rainy and blah for the past four days, and I am miserable. Brownies, preferably eaten while soaking in a chocolate-scented hot bath, are the next best thing to sunshine.
(OK, maybe brownies, a chocolate-scented bath AND a glass of wine)

  4. I love brownies too, but Heathers' comment made me laugh, cause I gave up on that 20 years ago! He He. I don't know if I'd want those chocolate bath goodies staring at me though, what if in a moment of weakness you popped one in your mouth! Good Luck with PFB, can't wait to cheer you on next round!

  9. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who tries to hide brownies from myself and seriously fails. I will ransack the house trying to find where my roommate has hid them. And I always find them. Always.

  11. Well, I don't like chocolate so brownies wouldn't be for me.

However, I have a four year-old who would look up at you with her dark, lash-rimmed Armenian eyes and say, "Miss Azmina, please can I have the brownies? I promise I'll be a good girl for my Mommy. I won't use marker on my pillow for at least one day. I use a whole roll of toilet paper every time; blocking up the works and making Daddy say words I don't understand. I'll be as perfect as your brownies sound. And someday I hope I'll grow up to be as beautiful as you. Please Miss Azmina?"

(I know you're married, but down here, women are all Miss to the kids.) Also, I always assumed you lived in New York. Just figured you out there. Weird, huh?
